Set in landscaped gardens shaded by pine trees, the grand Edwardian country manor hotel, Castel Marie Louise, is just 20 meters from the beach, one kilometer from the center of La Baule. The 31 air conditioned guestrooms feature designer furnishings and a classic decor, some with four poster beds and period furniture. All are equipped with cable television, pay movies, direct dial phones, complimentary Internet access and minibars. Tiled bathrooms are complete with bathrobes, hair dryers and make up mirrors.
Guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner in the elegant setting and a relaxed atmosphere of Le Castel Marie Louise Restaurant, which offers a range of traditional dishes, as well as original specialties, accompanied by an extensive wine list. With the beach only 20 meters away, a range of water sports are on offer, such as jet skiing, motor boating, windsurfing and water skiing. Alternatively guests can lounge on the sun drenched sandy shores. One of the best ways to explore the contrasting scenery around the region is by bicycle or taking the hiking trails along the coast. Guests can try their luck at the casino 20 meters away, or explore the medieval town of Guerande and the fishing port of Le Croisic, both five kilometers away. The nearest airport is Nantes, 80 kilometers from the hotel, and trains runs to La Baule Escoublac, a five minute taxi ride from the hotel.
