Location. Tortuga Bay Hotel fronts a private white sand beach within a 15,000 acre gated community in Punta Cana (Dominican Republic) where internationally famous celebrities maintain homes.
Hotel Features. Among the hotel's restaurants, La Yola features glass floor panels and an open bow that provide underwater portals into harbor marine life. La Yola specializes in seafood with a touch of fusion. Six on site bars include El Bar, where Dominican rums and cigars take center stage. A fully equipped business center, a technology helpdesk and multi function space accommodate corporate and social occasions. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the property. Guests of the hotel have access to amenities offered at the adjacent Puntacana Resort. Activities include engaging in spring water baths, horseback riding, scuba diving with certified PADI instructors or visiting the on site mini zoo's native animals. Supervised children's programs include language and dance classes, pirate and native crafts, kayak trips, pony rides, tennis clinics and beach and pool games. A full time nanny service is also available. The Tom Fazio and P.B. Dye designed golf courses offer superb play with holes that overlook the vast Caribbean. The hotel's fitness center features the latest in exercise equipment, and Six Senses Spa offers a haven of luxuries that include yoga, Reiki and tai chi sessions.
Guestrooms. Designed by Oscar de la Renta, one , two , three and four bedroom villas feature pillow menus, jetted tubs and tropically inspired d�cor with spacious indoor and outdoor sitting areas. The 15 villas (50 guestrooms in total) feature bedrooms with separate, individual kitchenettes and coralline stone bathrooms. Villa amenities include plasma screen televisions and DVD/CD players. Villa managers assist guests with private check in, laundry requests and other valet services.
Expert Tip. Located on site, guests have access to the 600 acre private "Ojos Ind�genous" park. This ecological park offers naturalist guided tours and weekly educational workshops.
