Location. The Savoy Hotel's green and gold facade looks out over busy Vesterbrogade in central Copenhagen, Denmark. The Tycho Brahe Planetarium and Copenhagen's lakes are less than 200 metres from the hotel, and the Stroget shopping street, Hans Christian Andersen Museum and Tivoli amusement park are within a kilometre. It's just 500 metres to the central train station.
Hotel Features. The Savoy Hotel was designed by Danish architect Anton Rosen and built in 1906. The hotel still has its original elevator and a wooden staircase carved with lions in reference to the building's original name, 'The Castle of the Lions'. The wood floored lobby has antique style rugs, potted plants and leather sofas. The 24 hour front desk can hire out bicycles.
The Savoy Hotel offers a complimentary continental breakfast, which guests can eat in the ivy clad courtyard.
The hotel offers two meeting rooms for up to 25 people, wireless Internet access (surcharge) and a computer with high speed Internet access (surcharge).
Guestrooms. Decorated in minimalist style, the Savoy Hotel's 66 guestrooms face the courtyard. All rooms offer satellite television, tea/coffee making facilities and tiled bathrooms with bathtubs or showers.
Expert Tip. The hotel's red brick courtyard is the setting for live music every July when the Copenhagen Jazz Festival comes around.

From Copenhagen Airport Kastrup (CPH):
Distance to Savoy Hotel is 12 kilometres, approximately 20 minutes' drive.
Getting there. Direct trains run between Terminal 3's station and Copenhagen central station every 10 minutes. There are regular trains to other locations in Denmark and Sweden. The Savoy Hotel is just 500 metres from the central station. Taxis wait in front of Terminals 1 and 3 and cost around 160 DKK 200 DKK to the city centre. This price includes taxes and tips, and credit cards can be used. Bus numbers 9, 30, 500S and 250S run between the airport and the city centre (and beyond) until midnight every day. The number 96N runs throughout the night. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. The hotel is located on Vesterbrogade in central Copenhagen. Buses, an underground metro, trains, and water buses provide excellent transportation throughout the city. One ticket can be used for all types of public transport. Bicycles are a popular way to explore Copenhagen, and there are a number of cycle paths in the city. Parking is available nearby (surcharge).
Driving directions. From Copenhagen Airport Kastrup:
Take the main road E20 towards Copenhagen Centrum.
Follow signs for Tivoli and Radhuspladsen.
Turn left onto Vesterbrogade and you'll see the Savoy Hotel about 800 metres away on the right.
