The Hotel Carolina is a seafront complex on the green island of Rab, part of the Kalifront peninsula, located five kilometres from the old town. The 142 air conditioned guestrooms have neutral decor and many benefit from balconies with sea views. All are equipped with direct dial phones, cable television, hair dryers and minibars.
Guests can wine and dine in the hotel restaurant, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and serving a wide selection of international dishes from an a la carte menu. The complex plays host to evening entertainment throughout the summer months including live music on the hotel terrace. Guests can bask in the sun on the terrace by the seawater swimming pool, or enjoy a drink in the bar or at the beach caf�. The complex has three tennis courts and a mini golf course, and is ideally situated for walking, trekking, jogging, and mountain biking opportunities along the coastline. The beach in front of the hotel is ideal for snorkelling and scuba diving. Bicycle rentals are available on site and provide a good way of exploring the island. The old town, a site of Roman occupation is only five kilometres away, while the island abounds in early and late Romanesque architecture including houses, churches and monasteries. Zagreb Airport is 250 kilometres from the hotel. A Croatia Airlines Bus connects the airport to the main bus station where a bus can be taken from Zagreb to Rab. Taxis are also available at the airport.
