Location. The 14 storey Hotel Le M�ridien Lav resort complex is defined by contemporary architecture and is sited overlooking a marina by the Adriatic Sea eight kilometres from the city of Split. Split Airport is 30 kilometres from the hotel, with an approximate driving time of 40 minutes.
Hotel Features. Recreational facilities at the Hotel Le M�ridien Lav include a seasonal outdoor pool, four tennis courts and a gym. The spa centre houses an indoor pool, jetted tub and a sauna, and offers a range of massage and beauty treatments. The onsite casino features 140 slot machines and eight gaming tables, and the hotel also houses a nightclub. A separate children's pool, a kids' club and playground are provided for younger guests.
Spalatum serves international and Mediterranean fusion fare in a contemporary setting with live show cooking, while the Spalatum Galerija offers a contemporary Mediterranean and international � la carte menu. The Pivnica serves traditional Italian fare and pizzas, the Laguna Bar serves light healthy dishes by the pool, and the Champagne Bar offers contemporary cocktails and extends to a terrace with sea views. The Art Caf� hosts contemporary art exhibitions and serves patisserie and sandwiches, and the 7 Palms Bar & Grill, located on the beach, offers salads and sandwiches.
The private beach and water sports centre offer facilities for windsurfing, sailing, scuba diving and water skiing. Classes in aerobics, yoga and Pilates are available on site.
Guestrooms.The 381 wheelchair accessible guestrooms over 14 floors feature bright fabrics and contemporary furnishings and open onto balconies. All are equipped with satellite television, high speed Internet ports, telephones, minibars and coffee/tea makers. Bathrooms include shower/tub combinations, telephones, bathrobes and slippers.
Expert Tip. The Diocletian Palace, eight kilometres from the hotel, was built by the Roman emperor of the same name in the third century
